Duane Cash Portfolio
My name is Duane Cash. I have been game programming ever since I was 13 years old when I got my first computer (a Timex Sinclair 1000). Back then, I programmed in BASIC, but later in high school, I learned Pascal, and C/C++. During that time, most of my chosen projects were games such as a chess-playing program that learned from its mistakes based upon it experience playing human players.
Later, I worked as a tester for American Laser Games. Here, I worked on titles including Mad Dog McCree, Crime Patrol, Battles In Time, and Orbatak. This was a great company with a diverse group of talented people. I really felt at home in the game company atmosphere.
Since this time, I have work on various game projects and assets. I really enjoy exploring projects involving the development of artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
Some have been for clients while I ran my own freelance company. Others have been a result my own personal passion for games - many of which were made outside of my "day job".
My main goal is to make games on a full-time basis with a great company. I have been developing my skills through a blend of self-learning, corporate training, and university education in technical skills that would be the greatest benefit to an enterprising game company.
